If you’re looking for something fun to do this fall, don’t miss out on this beautiful sunflower farm. We visited later in the afternoon and were able to catch a glimpse of the mesmerizing sunset over the sunflowers. Great spot for family outing, group/couple activity. The staffs are super friendly and helpful. I left my phone holder in the car and they gave me a ride to the parking lot so I could get it (saved me 10 mins of walking). I brought a pair of high heel shoes for pictures and ended up forgetting them in the truck tractor 🚜Right before I left the parking lot, a staff showed up in the truck tractor with my shoes ^^ I can’t thank y’all enough for your kindness. Gorgeous flowers and wonderful people. I will be back in spring for the tulips.
My first time here, everyone is very nice, and accommodating. My walking is not the greatest with my MS so I ride an electric scooter. Their grounds are ADA compliant. Signs everywhere with phone numbers to call if assistance is needed. They were able to locate an item I left behind the day before. The staff helped me clean off the mud on my electric scooter.I'll definitely be back.
What a beautiful clean, well maintained , family friendly flower farm Dalton Farm is! My friends and I spent the entire day sitting by the lake , walking the flower fields , enjoying live music , cool breezes , getting a bite to eat from the food vendors and having fun in all the photo op areas ! Everyone we engaged with including the wonderful owners were more than hospitable , kind and friendly ! Dalton Farm deserves a 10⭐️ rating !
Great place for the price! Very nice place for photos as well, just a little surprised by the use of the plants themselves. We were very surprised to find out that you can't buy the plants except for the cut flowers and you can't buy bulbs directly from the farm. Just a little heads up on that. All of these wonderful flowers get ripped out in just a few weeks and they will then plant the sunflowers for the show in the fall. Seems like a waste of millions of amazing tulip bulbs that probably all of us would love to have at our house and plant and enjoy for years to come.
That said, we did enjoy the twins that ran the bakery store and had a really good shrimp salad sandwich and the twin brother who ran the wine tasting. Their personalities were even better than what they sell.
Overall a good experience.
It was a nice trip to the farm. It is a vast sunflower farm. My kids loved this farm. There are food trucks and paddle boats.
My wife mistakenly thought that the paddle boat is included as the entrance fee only was $12. While other farms present at least a Zinnia flower per ticket, this farm does not give anything but scissors and buckets to cut and carry flowers. BTW, the paddle boat was $25 for four people.
I did not eat anything here because feeding kids was already too much for me, and therefore, I do not know the quality or taste of foods but my kids loved it (they would love anything in front of them); however, again, the price of foods were not affordable.
Furthermore, as people cut flowers to purchase, all beautiful sunflowers were already gone or under other peoples' feet. If you want to enjoy sunflowers, come earlier than others. Also, I think the best time to take pictures of flowers would be morning time.
Conclusion: It is a nice farm to enjoy and buy sunflowers but not affordable.
Went here during the summer and the fall for the tulips and the sunflowers, both times were very fun. There are so many fields and flowers to pick each time.
Great place to take the family. My family and me have visited dalton farms for both the tulip festival in the spring and the sunflower festival in late summer/ early fall. There are a lot of great photo opportunities so it might be worth stepping your game up and bring an actual camera not just your cell phone. They even have a pavilion to eat some good food, drink good beer/ wine, and listen to live music.
Amazing experience! Bring your children and your camera!
Don't forget to take time to smell the flowers!!!
Highly recommend
***They also have strawberry picking in May & Sunflower picking at the end of Summer.
